{"id":588,"date":"2010-01-18T21:25:14","date_gmt":"2010-01-19T05:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/?p=588"},"modified":"2010-01-18T23:53:55","modified_gmt":"2010-01-19T07:53:55","slug":"babyslang-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/2010\/01\/18\/babyslang-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"Babyslang 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join us again, won&#8217;t you, for another trip through the Not-So-Secret Nack Family Decoder Ring! \u00a0Recent additions to our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/?cat=6\">weirdo canon<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Meat Cigars<\/strong>: Finn &amp; Mom-O have devised a new snack consisting of rolled-up turkey slices that hide a delicious cream cheese payload. \u00a0These double at fun&#8211;and completely ineffective&#8211;telescopes. \u00a0Fair warning, though: that usage tends to result in a toddler with a case of Cheesy Eyeball.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Beating Sticks<\/strong>: Oh, this one will be hard to explain in mixed company someday. \u00a0On weekends, Finny &amp; Dad-O like to go to &#8220;Traintrack Park,&#8221; grab fallen tree branches, and chase each other around with them. My playful threats to &#8220;beat that butt!&#8221; have led Finn to ask for &#8220;Mo&#8217; beating sticks!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dipit Cheese<\/strong>: Pretzels being &#8220;dipits,&#8221; cream cheese (into which they&#8217;re dipped) is now &#8220;dipit cheese.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delicious Pocket<\/strong>: That&#8217;s how the big guy says &#8220;Tlaquepaque,&#8221; the name of the Mexican restaurant down the street. \u00a0Now we can&#8217;t drive by without him pointing out, &#8220;Delicious Pocket sign! \u00a0Delicious Pocket wagon!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bonk<\/strong>: Finn-ese for &#8220;Cheers,&#8221; as he noted during our Thanksgiving toast.<\/li>\n<li><strong>OhJeez<\/strong>: Over Christmas break, Finn grabbed some toilet paper and started tearing it with gusto. &#8220;Dad-O say &#8216;Oh Jeez!,'&#8221; he was delighted to report. \u00a0From there it was &#8220;Do mo&#8217; OhJeez; Mo&#8217; OhJeez in the crib!&#8221; \u00a0It was all fun and paper-pulverizing games until Mom-O found a shredded pile stashed beneath his bed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GatoDipes<\/strong>: Not to be left out entirely, little Henry has upgraded to new, heavy-duty &#8220;GatoDipes&#8221;&#8211;the better to contain his newly crib-wasting bladder!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bonus: Here&#8217;s a little taste of OhJeez.
