{"id":8112,"date":"2019-05-19T14:13:54","date_gmt":"2019-05-19T21:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/?p=8112"},"modified":"2019-05-31T19:17:30","modified_gmt":"2019-06-01T02:17:30","slug":"train-trip-vol-2-milling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/2019\/05\/19\/train-trip-vol-2-milling\/","title":{"rendered":"Train Trip vol. 2: Milling Around the Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the Big Boy\u2019s arrival, Hen &amp; I again grabbed a bite at the Zephyr Cafe, then joined the throngs of people exploring the neighboring <a href=\"https:\/\/ogdencity.com\/1522\/Exhibition\">Utah State Railroad Museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the city\u2019s old Union Station, the museum is home to UP 833, the sister engine to the one accompanying the Big Boy, as well as to extensive model railroads and an old automobile museum. (Could this place be designed any better for Henry?!) Other highlights included seeing one of the train cars featured in the 2002 Olympic Torch relay as well as a car from the Golden Spike centennial 50 years ago. Hen narrated plenty of footage for his YouTube channel while wrestling his own furious (and <em>highly verboten<\/em>) desire to climb all over the engines. Oh\u2014and the museum featured a live countdown until the Golden Spike ceremony, by then just over 22 hours away!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/photos.app.goo.gl\/h4aLqtyi4idPNrMy8\">Check out some photos<\/a> from our visit, as well as a quick video tour of the grounds.
