And, of course, leftovers are often the most delicious part of Thanksgiving, so let&#8217;s dive in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1-1-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9852\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1-1-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1-1-300x225.jpeg 300w, http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1-1-768x576.jpeg 768w, http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1-1.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, like last, our pal Maria flew out from Kansas City to join us. <em>Unlike<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/2021\/12\/05\/mendocino-from-sea-glass-to-sunrise\/\">last year<\/a>, happily, the festivities didn&#8217;t involve Seamus rubbing himself on a barnacle-encrusted log &amp; then sharing his nauseating scent with us on a long, twisty van ride. &#x1f92a;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, we kicked things off by making a whole range of treats\u2014popping corn from Maria&#8217;s garden, whipping up deviled eggs &amp; key lime pie, and even sampling weird tree fruit in the neighborhood.
