Gotta get that little sucker good and tired!<\/li>\n<li><u>SCS &#8212; Second-Chance Snax:<\/u> Finn is our little goat, scavenging all manner of fallen Cheerios and other chow-shrapnel from the area under his high chair.<\/li>\n<li><u>Queso al Suelo<\/u> &#8212; Literally &#8220;Floor Cheese,&#8221; but doesn&#8217;t it sound more sophisticated?<\/li>\n<li><u>Bobs<\/u> &#8212; Short for &#8220;bottles&#8221;.  Can be used as a verb, as in &#8220;Do you want to bob-up Finn?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><u>Greet&#8217;ems<\/u> &#8212; As in, &#8220;Finny&#8217;s awake.  Do you want to do greet&#8217;ems?&#8221;  It&#8217;s a corruption of &#8220;Greedums,&#8221; which I sometimes label Margot when she&#8217;s not sharing food, etc. (&#8220;I&#8217;m never greedy!  You&#8217;re the greedy one!&#8221; she protests.)<\/li>\n<li><u>Dirty Dipes (Done Dirt Cheap)<\/u> &#8212; Kinda self-explanatory, and sung to an <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dirty_Deeds_Done_Dirt_Cheap\">AC\/DC riff<\/a><\/li>\n<li><u>Finny Scent:<\/u> Closely related to the previous item, and a play on the name of the rapper 50 Cent (&#8220;Fitty Cent&#8221;).<\/li>\n<li><u>Kickandalo<\/u> &#8212; Our fake-Spanish way of saying &#8220;Kickin&#8217; it,&#8221; aka &#8220;Partying&#8221;\n<\/ul>\n<p>[For more slang see previous entries <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/2008\/05\/baby_argot.html\">1<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/2008\/11\/more_finn_argot.html\">2<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/2008\/09\/scorn_quash_the_corn_n_squash.html\">3<\/a>.]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In our continued efforts to make ourselves intelligible to the outside world, Margot and I have rounded up &#038; explained some of the recent nonsense we&#8217;ve coined: PEP &#8212; Paternal Exhaustion Plan: Describes the now-nightly roughhousing Finn and I do before bathtime &#038; bed.
