{"id":235,"date":"2009-04-14T14:18:21","date_gmt":"2009-04-14T22:18:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jnack.com\/micronaxx\/?p=235"},"modified":"2020-04-19T22:38:15","modified_gmt":"2020-04-20T05:38:15","slug":"happy-easter-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jnack.com\/micronaxx\/2009\/04\/14\/happy-easter-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy Easter!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/easter_09\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"10\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/images\/tinypix\/easter_09.jpg\" height=\"150\" width=\"110\" align=\"left\"><\/a> Hey, everyone&#8211;happy Easter!<br \/>\nMargot, the Finn-man, and &#038; I journeyed south to Carmel on Sunday and had a ball with our friends the Whitsons (parents of Bryan Hughes), Bryan and his wife Alex &#038; their wee son Miles, plus Bryan&#8217;s grandmother &#038; Alex&#8217;s mom.  Being so far away from most of our own families, it&#8217;s really special for us to feel so welcomed, and we couldn&#8217;t have had a nicer time.<br \/>\nFinno was an excellent traveller, and with the exception of a 1-hour screech-a-thon (i.e. what <i>should<\/i> have been his afternoon nap), he was his usual charming self throughout the proceedings (including Monday morning, as we stayed overnight).  Highlights included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>meeting Grace the giant doggie\n<li>&#8220;playing&#8221; all manner of wooden musical instruments (as distributed by pied piper Bryan)\n<li>tearing around with MrsW&#8217;s childhood stuffed lion, and\n<li>&#8220;sweeping people off their feet&#8221; with a little paint brush.<\/ul>\n<p>The &#8220;Papa-razzi&#8221; (aka Dads with Cams) were out in force, so <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/easter_09\/\">here&#8217;s a gallery<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/easter_09\/\">HTML<\/a>) of the goings-on.  Young Miles is well represented, making me think back to just <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jnack.com\/finnegan\/easter\/\">how tiny Finn was<\/a> at Easter last year.  Bryan has been busy constructing a deck with his dad, but I look forward to seeing and sharing his photos from the day soon.<br \/>\nAs Margot is in Seattle right now, maybe Finn and I can christen the bubble-blowing kit from his Easter basket this afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey, everyone&#8211;happy Easter!
